My name is Jerry Long and I am a teacher and coach at Southmont High School. I excelled in baseball at Southmont and at Wabash College. I was the head coach of Southmont’s baseball team for ten years. I achieved much success as both a player and a coach.
I am passionate about teaching players the proper hitting, fielding and pitching techniques. Through video study, coaches clinics and experience I have become very confident in my ability to train baseball players in the proper fundamentals of the game. I am currently assisting Jamie Welliever, Southmont’s head baseball coach.
I have a batting cage, screens, T’s, a pitcher's mound, and a pitching machine ready for use. I also can do pitching and hitting analysis with the use of video review on the iPad.

I am looking forward to working with players of all ages. My hope is to get more players doing regular baseball workouts with proper technique.
